Review: Omni Hotel – Jacksonville, Florida

Spread the love

The Omni Hotel, located in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, is a place we’ve stayed numerous times. As former residents of North Florida, and people who still regularly travel to Jacksonville, we’ve enjoyed staying at the Omni for nearly 10 years – here’s a little bit why.

As we typically do, we’ll give you a brief overview of four reasons you stay in any hotel – location, service, cleanliness, and value for the money. We feel the Omni is a place you can enjoy any time you’re staying in the South’s “Bold New City”, and enjoy yourself.

Location

The location of the Omni is great. It’s right on the St. John’s River in downtown Jacksonville, and is as close as you can get to the handful of decent bars and nightlife areas on Jacksonville’s North Bank. It’s only a few hundred yards from an Interstate on-ramp, so it’s easy to find as well.

Nearby are some great Jacksonville locations, including Dos Gatos (the one true go-to bar on the North Bank), the Florida Theater, and of course the off-name-changing home of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Service

You get 5-star service at the Omni. From the front door to the desk, it’s a place where everyone is nice and accommodating. You can choose to valet when you arrive (if you’re driving), or use the convenient lot across the street and pay-by-the-day.

Cleanliness

The Omni gets 4 stars for cleanliness, but none of the “sins” are major. There’s a little dusk on top of picture frames, but the beds are always crisp, carpets are always clean, and you always feel very comfortable and welcomed by the appearance of the hotel and the room.

Value

For the money, you can’t beat the quality of hotel you get for $150 USD per night. With the location, the cleanliness and the service, it’s a place we have stayed and would definitely stay again.

We highly recommend if you’re traveling to Jacksonville any time soon! You can visit the Omni at their website, and book online.
