Spread the love

Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland and one of the most visited places in Iceland. If you are planning to visit this country, one of the first things that will come to your mind is its capital, Reykjavik. To get the best out of this city, you will have to go there during the right time, and this may vary based on one budget and priorities. Below, we are going to share with you the details of the different seasons in Reykjavik and when it is best to visit.

June to August (the overall best time to visit Reykjavik)

People love the sun, and it is during this season that you will get to see the sun for almost 20 hours a day. This kind of scenario is abnormal for some countries, but this is normality in Reykjavik during these months. Since it is during summer that most people get to visit Iceland, the cost of transportation and accommodation is always high during this season.

April to May (the second-best season for many)

It is during these months that people in Reykjavik get to see less of the snow as they prepare for summer. If you don’t intend to spend a lot of money on your trip to Iceland, this is one of the best times to visit as prices are slightly lower than those during summer. The good news is that during this season, the days are longer than the nights, which is a better situation than the winter days.

September to march (least favorable for many)

If you visit shortly after the summer (September mainly), things will be a little fine because you will get to see the sun for a couple of hours. However, when it gets to their winter season (November to March), the nights are always longer than the days. It is during this season that very few people get to visit Reykjavik. Prices for most of the services are also slashed through out the winter months.
